Math makes sense when students can visualize how percents relate to decimals, how decimals relate to fractions. Algebra makes sense when students understand how equations connect to graphing, how graphing connects to slope. Geometry makes sense when students recognize algebra at work in a proof or formula....Math is related!
Although math is often taught in a linear way, it is the connections between concepts that are the key for understanding. Helping students see the big picture and how each math concept relates to another is crucial....Math becomes more clear!
